How to Use ChatGPT

ChatGPT works best when you describe the result you need, provide useful context, set constraints and review the answer. You do not need secret keywords.

1. Start with a clear goal

Say what finished means: explain a topic, rewrite text, analyze a file, debug code or plan a project.

2. Add useful context

Include audience, language, platform, existing material, constraints and what you already tried. Remove passwords, API keys and unnecessary private information.

3. Specify the output

Ask for the exact format you need: checklist, table, steps, report, code, short answer or ready-to-send message.

4. Improve with follow-ups

Correct misunderstandings, add missing requirements and ask for examples. Complex work is easier when divided into small, testable stages.

5. Use the right capability

For changing information, use current Search where available. For documents, upload the original file when supported. For visual tasks, provide the image or clear visual requirements.

6. Verify important answers

ChatGPT can make mistakes. Independently verify medical, legal, financial, safety and other high-impact information.
